The 2024 recipient of the Bernard S. Finn IEEE History Prize (formerly the Life Member Paper Prize) was selected by the Society for the History of Technology is Damilola Adebayo, York University, for “Electricity, Agency, and Class in Lagos Colony, c. 1860s-1914. The 2024 recipient of the Joyce and William Middleton Electrical Engineering History Award/Book Prize is “Chip War: The Fight for the World’s Most Critical Technology” by Chris Miller. The runner-up is “A Biography of the Pixel” by Alvy Ray Smith.
